Reflections on the Update and Plans for the Next Essay

Well... that certainly took way longer than I had expected, and it probably would have taken even longer if I had not decided to set that deadline for August 8th. There are still some problems with the essay, besides spelling errors (of which I am sure there are plenty), like some parts of the gameplay section not being that great (since I barely had any time to take my time with it, as I wrote most of the gameplay section a few days before the release), but, still, overall, I am very much pleased with the update, and I hope that the reader enjoyed it, too, since I put a lot of love into it. The reason it took such a long time to finish, besides the fact that it is absolutely massive, is that I basically had zero motivation to write it, because I wanted to move on to my next essay and start writing that already. In some sense, me writing this update was a risky move, since the reason I decided to write the FNAF essay, in the first place, instead of something else that I plan to write after this new essay, was because I had a lot of motivation to write the FNAF essay but no motivation to write that essay, and I knew that if I had decided to put the FNAF essay on the back-burner, in-order to finish an essay I had no motivation to write, that once I finally would get around to writing the FNAF essay I would, then, have no motivation to actually write it, because that is precisely what happened with all my motivation to write that other essay when I put that on the back-burner in-order to write something else. Thankfully, my motivation to write this new essay has not dwindled, in the slightest. If anything, it has only increased. I would say, though, that it is currently a bit subdued, but I think that once I simply allow myself to write, that all that energy I have been storing inside of myself will be able to burst forth, like a broken dam. Or maybe it would be more apt to say that that is how the reader may come to think of this new essay? Because it certainly is going to be fairly, let us say, "intensive"...

My next essay will be philosophical in nature rather than being yet another critique or retrospective on any particular type of media, like my previous two entries. I hope that this will satisfy those readers who may have thought that my previous two entries were not to their tastes and have been hoping for a return to me schizoposting about Aion or discussing politics. With that being said, even though it will primarily be philosophical in nature, it will also feature a pretty extensive philosophical discussion about media analysis in the beginning of the essay, which, to those readers who would have preferred for it to have been completely free from any discussion about media, might make it sound like this essay will once again not interest them. However, although those readers may think that this section will not interest them, I would nevertheless urge those readers to give that section a chance, since, like I explained, this new essay will not be "yet another critique of retrospective on any particular media," as this section will instead be a philosophical discussion about media and media analysis on a meta-level, which I hope will interest even those readers that may not have been a fan of my previous essays about media. In any case, regardless of whether this section interests the reader or not, it is by no means recommended for the reader to skip it, as he will, then, not have been provided with the much needed context for all my later observations about politics and psychology, which I can only make at those points in the essay because of what has already been discussed prior to them, in the section about media analysis. Other than that, there really is nothing that I can reveal about the essay, at this point in time, at least, other than to vaguepost about it. I think that the best "marketing" I can do for it is that if the reader has enjoyed my previous philosophical works, then he will most assuredly find this essay to be enjoyable as well. And, if he did not, maybe he will, then, find it to be an enjoyable read due to how bad it will be.
